COVID Status Certification Scheme

As you will know, a COVID Status Certification scheme has been introduced by the NI Executive, which means there is now a requirement to show proof of COVID-status Certification to gain entry into certain settings from Monday 13th December 2021.

As the new scheme applies to theatres and indoor premises used for the purposes of a performance, the scheme will impact directly on Bardic Theatre.

When being used for this purpose, Bardic Theatre now require members of the public (over 18 years of age) to show proof of their COVID status to gain access to the premises.

One of the following MUST be provided:

Proof of full vaccination, with the second dose having been given at least 14 days before attending. Acceptable forms of proof include COVIDCert NI certificates (travel certificate must be accompanied by valid Government Issued Photo ID, Covid immunisation record cards and valid Government issued Photo ID), and any official documentation from outside Northern Ireland such as the EU Digital Covid Certificate or the NHS Covid Pass.

Proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test taken the day of, or the day before attending. This will be in the form of an official SMS message which you will receive after completing and registering your Lateral Flow Test result at https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result (and valid Government issued Photo ID)

Proof of natural immunity shown by a positive PCR test result for Covid issued between 30 and 180 days earlier. Any self-isolation period must have elapsed before coming to the performance (and valid Government issued Photo ID).

If you live in the Republic of Ireland, you can demonstrate your COVID-19 status using the EU Digital COVID Certificate 9 and valid Government issued Photo ID ) (DCC): http://www.gov.ie/.../3a698-eu-digital-covid-certificate/

For those who are not vaccinated, the process for people to apply for a Covid exemption certificate on medical grounds has now been published at Coronavirus (COVID-19): apply for a COVID exemption certificate | nidirect.

There are other methods to provide evidence in the absence of an exemption certificate, including via a negative lateral flow test or a positive PCR test (within certain time limits with and valid Government issued Photo ID).

We would ask that you have this information ready on arrival at the venue for the performance. Unfortunately, failure to supply one of the required proof of entry documentations will result in no entry to the performance and no refunds will be given.

As an additional safety measure and in line with national theatres, we are asking for ALL our customers to remain masked at all times unless when drinking. Please note NO food or drink will be allowed in the auditorium from this point forward.
