Brendan Quinn - Tickin' Over Tour

Brendan Quinn - Tickin' Over Tour

Friday 18th October 2019

Brendan Quinn is one of Ireland's unsung Country Music superstars with 11 Studio albums to his name and countless appearances on other peoples work as a vocalist or guitarist. He has appeared at some of the world's top country music festivals and shared the bill (and sometimes the stage) with other legends such as Merle Haggard, George Jones, Don Williams, Gene Watson and Hal Ketchum.

From humble beginnings in 'The Malachi Dori Ceili Band' at 15 to his Irish No.1 in 1972 with Faron Young's "It's Four in The Morning' Brendan has seen and done it all. He joined various Irish Show bands throughout his career such as 'The Breakaways', 'The Signs' before going on to replace Gene Stuart in 'The Mighty Avons' in 1974. After a year with 'The Mighty Avons' he went on to form his own band 'The Bluebirds' for over twenty years achieving five No.1 albums followed by another 2 No.1's before the end of the 70's. In the early 80's he emigrated to Vancouver, Canada where he toured extensively throughout North America but returned in 85 and recorded a further five albums with The Bluebirds on his own Deep Cove record label before semi-retiring in 1995.

Recently Brendan has been performing his tribute to Neil Diamond. A thirty song spectacular which has sold out around Ireland and England twice round.

Don't miss one of Ireland's unsung Country Music legends this October in Donaghmore.
