TORRENTLANTIC SESSIONS

TORRENTLANTIC SESSIONS
Join us on Friday 26 September for an evening of Irish Folk and Trad music in memory of local accordina player John O'Neill. The weekend put together by his family opens in Bardic and will feature local talents Malachi Cush, Mickey Coleman plus fluent Irish trad singers Étain and Máire Ní Churraoin from County Meath.
ABOUT MALACHI
Malachi has been one of our most celebrated singers for over 20 years and his voice could melt the coldest of hearts with his warm and melodic voice. Malachi has a unique way of breathing life into traditional Irish ballads, cherished folk songs and religious classics which he’s known and loved for. He has enjoyed several top-ten recordings in Ireland and the UK, including recordings by other artists. He combines his singing career with a successful broadcasting and teaching career and is currently working on his 7th studio album.
ABOUT MICKEY
Born and raised in the close-knit village of Ardboe, County Tyrone, Mickey Coleman is a singer-songwriter whose music is as rich and soulful as the Irish soil he grew up on. Mickey’s path
Mickey’s music is deeply rooted in Irish tradition, yet it carries a modern, personal resonance. His songs tell stories of home, heritage, resilience, and love—often drawn from his own life experiences.Mickey’s path has taken him from the fields of Ulster to the heart of New York’s Irish-American community—where his voice, both literal and lyrical, continues to inspire.
Mickey's talent for penning songs, which in some way or another have shaped his life and which have captured the hearts of many in his live performances, has been well documented in songs such as 'The Brantry Boy', 'My Coalisland Girl', 'The Holylands Belfast' and 'Kilkeel Fishermen'.
